As your consultant, we will work with you to assess your needs and then individualize our services in consideration of those needs. We will be an active, collaborative partner with timely, communication in planning, fulfilling and following up on services. |
Confidentiality: Organization
We will maintain confidentiality of organizational information, as expressly outlined to us by representatives of your organization, with respect to information shared inside and outside of the organization.
Confidentiality: Performance Coaching Sessions
In coaching sessions, the Life Horizons Performance Coach will share organizational goals with the individual employee to be coached. A plan of action will be developed with the employee and shared with the organization. However, employees will be assured of confidentiality with respect to specific conversations with the Performance Coach. In this way, he or she (the individual coached employee) can feel comfortable to candidly discuss problem areas in order to work toward goals. The Life Horizons Coach will only report employee progress to the organization as working on or not working on goals, as the organization will, of course, be the final judge as to employee's actual progress at work.
However, there are circumstances in which we cannot guarantee individual employee confidentiality, legally and/or ethically: 1) when we believe the employee intends to harm himself / herself or another person; and, 2) when we believe the employee will try to do something illegal. Also understand that coaches, under certain circumstances, can be ordered by a judge to reveal information.
Confidentiality: Testing Results
Confidentiality will be maintained with respect to individual testing results. In other words, by the nature of the instruments that we use in our consulting practice, results are usually self-report and are not always considered exact. The use of these test results are considered useful but do not necessarily predict success or failure within an organization, as a variety of different personalities may help to make an organization successful. Therefore, we consider it unethical to release any test results of individuals to the organization. However, if requested, group results can be collected and shared in a collapsed manner so that individual results are anonymous.
